AIDA Cruises is the German-market brand of Carnival Corporation and the largest cruise line in Germany, with eleven ships from AIDAdiva through to the LNG-powered AIDAnova and AIDAcosma. Its home ports are Hamburg, Kiel and Warnemünde, which together account for around half the sailings we track, and it bases ships year-round in the Canary Islands at Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura, plus Mallorca and Corfu in the Mediterranean season. Life on board is German-speaking throughout, with buffet-led dining, an informal dress code and a strong sports and entertainment programme. AIDA suits travellers who want a German-language ship and a Northern European, Mediterranean or Canaries itinerary rather than a Caribbean-focused one.
AIDA Cruises fares and price changes
Two things are worth knowing about the AIDA prices we show. First, AIDA sells to a single market — the German site, in euros — so unlike Costa or MSC there is no second market to compare the same cabin against; the cross-market saving that applies elsewhere on this site does not exist here. Second, we list cruise-only fares per person: AIDA sells many of its long-haul itineraries, the Caribbean ones in particular, only as packages that bundle return flights, and we leave those out rather than show a price that is not comparable with other lines. Fares are sold in tiers with different levels of flexibility and included extras, and AIDA does not publish a general lower-fare guarantee after booking, so the practical time to act on a drop is before final payment and subject to your fare rules. Our price history for AIDA begins in September 2026, so treat it as a short baseline for now.
