Canada and New England is a fall-foliage product: seven- to twelve-night sailings between New York or Boston and Quebec City or Montreal, calling at Bar Harbor, Halifax, Saint John and Charlottetown, sold from late August to late October, with a smaller summer season for whale-watching and Newfoundland. Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, NCL and Celebrity are the main operators. Peak colour and peak price coincide in the first half of October; September sailings are usually cheaper and warmer, late October cheaper and colder. One-way itineraries need a flight home and can be priced very differently in each direction.
