About Transatlantic cruises
Transatlantic sailings are mostly repositioning voyages: ships moving between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean or Northern Europe in April and May and back again in October and November, typically twelve to sixteen nights with six or more consecutive sea days and a handful of calls in the Azores, Madeira, the Canaries or Bermuda. Almost every line we track runs one or two each season. Because the line needs the ship on the other side anyway, per-night fares are among the lowest anywhere in cruising, but one-way airfare has to be added and cabins in the cheapest categories sell out early to repeat cruisers who know this.
